Indiana law requires that all sellers and servers of alcohol must attend a Certified Server Training approved by the Alcohol & Tobacco Commission.
Certified Server TrainingTraining must be completed within 120 days of being hired by an establishment, and the certificate of training is valid for three years.
HHC is a Certified Indiana Training Provider as designated by the Indiana Alcohol & Tobacco Commission. HHC bases its server training classes on ServSafe Alcohol®. These classes meet the requirements specified by the state of Indiana for clerks, bartenders, and servers. Completion of the class provides students with a certificate of server training which is required in Indiana for ALL employee permit holders, and applicants for restricted employee permits. A Note About On-Line CoursesThe Indiana Alcohol & Tobacco Commission DOES now offer an online Certified Server Training program. The program is free of charge and can be accessed by clicking HERE. That being said, "live" classes such as the ones offered by Hoosier Hospitality Consulting offer some advantages over the ATC's online program:
Enrollment Options & InformationAdvance registration of at least 24 hours is REQUIRED to ensure that there is space available in the class you are interested in attending.
The "Complete" class option costs $40 and provides the Indiana Certificate of Server Training, the ServSafe Alcohol® Fundamentals of Responsible Alcohol Service textbook, and a ServSafe Alcohol® Certificate upon completion of the ServSafe Alcohol exam with a passing score of at least 75%. Both the Indiana Restaurant Association and HHC recommend the "complete" class option. The "Basic" class option costs $30 and provides the Indiana Certificate of Server Training upon completion of the class. The classroom presentation and experience is the same as the "Complete" option above. Custom Class SchedulingHHC can offer classes at your location and on your schedule. A minimum enrollment of ten (20) people is typically required. Stay Up To DateRefundsAll sales on textbooks and answer sheets are final. Refunds are available for classes if requested at least 7 days in advance of the class. Class fees are non-refundable less than 7 days in advance of the class date, however you can move your enrollment to another upcoming class date. If you are unable to attend a class that you have enrolled in please contact Donald Vita at 317-650-1126 in order to move your enrollment to another upcoming class.
In the highly unlikely event that a class is cancelled for any reason you will be contacted by Hoosier Hospitality Consulting so that your enrollment can be rescheduled, or so that a refund can be issued. |
